my favourite looks from spring 2018 ready to wear .

Hello lovelies! it’s been a while but I’m back!

I only have two more days (!!!) left of school and I cannot wait for the holidays! I am going on a camp which I am so excited for! I love camps.  I am also looking forward to doing some sewing, reading and just catching up on everything.

If you follow the fashion calendar you would know that it is spring 2018 ready to wear time. This is one of my favorite times as clothes in spring are gorgeous! I have collated my favorite looks from designers I really love. I chose designers that make clothes that, if I caould afford it, I would actually buy and wear. I will admit I am a die-hard Gucci fan, and the classics like Chanel, Dior, Calvin Klein, are amazing I thought that the collections below suited my style more.

I hope you enjoy and have a lovely break. xxx Frankie.

Ulla Johnson – how gorgeous is that runway, aesthetic heaven!

Mansur Graviel – the bags, shoes and coats of dreams!

Juicy Couture – a classic with gorgeous colour use.

Bally – elegant, dressy and sophisticated.

See By Chloe – hippy, floaty, summer vibes.

Kate Spade – makes me want to host a tropical garden party!

House Of Holland – wavy coolness.

Mara Hoffman – organic, sustainable and very damn lovely!

Cynthia Rowley – silky party dresses, makes me want to go out, out!

Beauty things I love.

I have collected and curated my favorite looks again and this time they are beauty looks! Yet again all these pictures are not mine, they are from Pinterest which I spend endless hours scrolling through! I hope you enjoy!

*ribbon *

I am loving hairstyles with a bow of velvet, silky, or colored ribbon tied in. I think it looks very cute and sometimes edgy if paired with a teased ponytail or messy bun.

*colourful eyeshadow*

I am in love with these bright and fun eyeshadow looks that are all over Pinterest! Solange has the best eyeshadow I have ever seen. I need to buy and try 🙂

* single dot nails *

I have tried and tested this look and it is incredibly easy and looks too cute! I can’t wait to experiment with different colors.

* glittery eyes*

Another eyeshadow look I cannot wait to try. Again it’s a little over the top but I’m only young once right! I think glitter and sparkles make eyes shine!

this was short and sweet, xxx Frankie

new beauty bit’s

Over the holidays I added a few new things to my ever growing collection on beauty bits. There is nothing I like more than opening, trying and loving a product for the very first time. As you may know, the most makeup I wear is mascara and lip tint so the majority of my beauty cabinet is skincare/ body care items. I have been on Pinterest a lot lately and have been feeling inspired to try out some colorful eye shadow and to start painting my nails in the weekends. I believe that having a little routine for school day and weekends in terms of day and night skin care is really important. I love the feeling of a cleansed toned and moisturised face and try to do this every morning and night, but I get tired sometimes as everyone does and this doesn’t always happen.  I will share more about this later.

Now onto the products:

I spoilt myself with my birthday money and got a tube of the Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm. I love citrus scents so pink grapefruit,  mandarin rind, and lemon balm totally float my citrus smelling boat.  It’s everything a body/ hand cream should be, a little thick, not sticky, very nice to look at, and gorgeous to smell. Once it’s all gone I’ll buy another!

The other Aesop product was an instore gift as it was my birthday! It was actually so surreal when she gave me 2 mini bottles of product. The one pictured is the Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser. I’m not a fan of Geranium but as it has Mandarin the two scents blend really nicely and the scent actually stays on your body after washing which is a plus. The other little bottle I got given was the Rind Concentrate body balm like above and she said the two scents pair really nicely which I agree with. I think these are going to be great for traveling.

Third and final is the LUSH breath of fresh air toner. I love spray toners and toners in general and I have wanted this salty and fresh scented one for ages. I love it, its great, it does it job and very well too.  The only thing is when you spray it a lot come out so it’s easiest to spray it onto a cotton pad and wipe it on your face that way.

so these are my new things and I highly recommend you buy them too!

lovely lady bosses 02

this episode of lovely lady bosses is a little bit different. these women own big brands so they are a little too busy to be interviewed by me but i thought i would share them, their brands and their stories with you.

i created lovely lady bosses to inspire the future generation of ladies (me & maybe you) to go out in the big wide world and do what we love for ourselves and of course our love for it. if that makes sense. one day i want to be my own boss, with my own company doing my own thing while supporting others and the planet. this is important to me as i am a follower, i go with the flow and if i don’t end up in the NZ army (more on this at the end) i want to push myself out of my comfort zone by making myself a leader.

i think i am done explaining if you have any questions email me at, i would love to hear from you.

… glossier

Untitled design (2)

emily weiss, into the gloss beauty blogger, turned her passion for beauty into a company. a very lovely one at that. glossier focuses on skin first, makeup second. what i love about it is that the makeup they do create works on enhancing your natural beauty. lip tints, super serums, brow gels and cream blushes are only the start of the makeup on offer. their products have been raved about as well as their packaging and branding.

as beauty bloggers, emily and her team have tried pretty much every beauty product ever and from 2010 till late have been documenting the must haves, what their icons are using and what people have on their top shelves. they have built a beauty brand with the essentials and because it’s run by busy girls they know exactly what busy girls want. no fuss just fun.

… lonely lingerie

Untitled design (4)

this gorgeous new zealand brand was created by helene morris and she is one clever lady. all the collection campaigns feature an array of backgrounds and body types celebrating the diversity and loveliness that is the bra wearing female. the garments are beyond sweet with lace and pretty colours, they also make damn good threads and swimwear too.

i love scrolling through their lonely girls segment to see all the different ages, faces, and bodies of my fellow ladies. i adore the way lonely advocate body positivity. they work with some amazing photographers and their photos are whimsical and totally gorgeous.

take a look for yourself, i beg you do.

… widess

Untitled design (5)

this is one of my local shops, i love the homemade organic vibe the clothes and the shop has. their fabrics are gorgeous not only to look at but to fell and each garment is made with so much love. they sell things by other makers and creators and all their products are made upstairs. their humble dwelling is located in the heart of ponsonby and is a nice contrast to the commercial shenanigans going on around it. they stock pansy undies and soft cup bras which i know are a fav in the area as they are always sold out.

girl owned and operated of course and totally lovely – 5 stars 😉

and thats a wrap,

know lets talk about the NZ army. i went on a full on camp and on it i realised i have no phobias, i can handle heights, spiders, clowns, small spaces. i am yet to find my weakness. i am not calling myself fearless, though. i get scared. but i would say im strong, i bottle up my feelings and keep them to myself which i am totally fine with. i can follow instructions pretty well and i like being told what to do.i am thinking about an NZ army career.

i will finish school first and leave my options open. i still really want to be an interior designer, freelance artist, logo designer e.c.t… but i would also love to join the army. i’ll keep thinking about it and get back to you.

xxx frankie, ya little soilder girl.

my top 5

hello! I’m back!

In the weekend mum and I did a little bit of shopping and in St Kevin’s Arcade we found the absolutely cutest cafe called bestie. The walls were pink and olive green and the coffee machine was yellow! There were plants everywhere and It’s my new favorite!

Back to the point; I have been using these 5 products religiously and love them all! I thought it was about time I do an updated beauty favorites!

01. Mecca Cosmetica nail polish

Over this summer my toes have been this lovely shade of metallicy blue. I almost never paint my fingernails so my toes get all the painted love! This polish is a foolproof basic color and easy to apply and stays good for ages!

02. Clear Start Hydration Lotion

this is my all time favorite moisturizer! it’s is very liquidy which I love as your skin really soaks it up as well as making you skin glow! It’s light and gentle with a really nice fresh scent! All round it’s fabulous!

03. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

I use this all the time, on my lips to make them nice and glossy, on my eyelids for again a nice glossy look and on spots as I was told by a beautician, it’s good for healing/ getting rid of them! This will be a product I will use long time!

04. Clear Start All Over Toner

This is the first toner I have had as a spray and I love it! It’s so handy when you are feeling a little oily or if it’s a hot day. Once this runs out I think I will try one of the Lush ones because they are so easy and quick to use.

05. Mecca Cosmetica Lip De Lucious Lip Tint, in rose

I love the little bit of color this gives to my lips. It’s also very handy with the added SPF 25, great for the hot summer weather! It also looks really nice with a layer of 8 Hour Cream over the top.

Hello lovelies!

I popped into the brand spanking new Aesop in newmarket and oh me oh my it’s gorgeous! The shop’s fittings are inspired by the “kiwi way of life”. The sinks look like water troughs with industrial taps and pipes and the shelves are inspired by metal baking trays. You definitely need to pop in to take a look for yourself!

To go along with the gorgeous interiors are all their gorgeous products! I love how they are all plant based and heavenly scented. There are testers all over the shop to try while you browse which is really nice. The lovely lady in store talked to me about my skin and what she recommended! She sent my mum and me home with a brown paper bag filled with testers!

01.  Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser

I love citrus scents so not only is this cleanser gently foaming, cleansing and leaves you skin feeling fresh, it does so while smelling amazing! It is gentle and fresh and for my sensitive and slightly oily skin it is perfect and is definitely a product I want to purchase.

02. Aesop B & Tea Balancing toner

Most toners sting my skin but this one is so gentle but still removes the oil gross stuff from my skin. It’s really nice to use after the cleanser and the green tea smell goes really nicely with the mandarin scent of the cleanser. If you are looking for a new toner this one is worth a try.

03. Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion

the lady recommended this as she said it’s great as a moisturizer and a skin protector. it’s kind of like a leave on mask because it is a post-shave lotion it’s very gentle on your skin but still protects and moisturizes it. It has the normal texture and consistency of a regular moisturizer too!

04. Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream

Out of the two moisturisers, this was my favorite, mainly because of the scent though. I absolutely adored how this felt on my cleansed and toned face and citrus scents like I said before totally float my boat. I would very much like to buy this beauty as I think it was my fav!

Hopefully my tips and recommendations were jolly good and if so go buy yourself some Aesop products lovelies!

product no.2 / / volumising shampoo

I have very fine hair so this gives my hair a shiny glow and makes my hair look really healthy! it’s has a floral scent which is very subtle and quite herby! for best use, I recommend using the shampoo and conditioner!

product no.3 / / coconut & vanilla body wash

I love the salty, beachy smell of this moisturizing wash! it makes me feel like I am in Hawaii or something! while cleansing the skin it protects it’s natural oils and makes it very soft!  this is the first time I have had used this and I am definitely going to rebuy it once I use it all!

product no.4 / / manuka honey & kelp soap

oh I was so excited when I opened the box! it’s green! the seaweed pieces cleanse, exfoliate and nourish the skin! it smells earthy and salty and I just can’t get enough of it!
